Delegate and Elevate Recap
The Tool We Covered
Ask a founder where their time goes and you will get a guess. Put it on paper and you will get a confession. Delegate and Elevate™ is one of the most eye-opening exercises an entrepreneur can do: an honest audit of where your hours actually land, which of them belong to work only you can do, and which ones you have been holding onto out of habit, guilt, or the quiet belief that nobody else will do it right. In April, guest Certified EOS Implementer Sam Diaz walked the room through it.
How It Went
April was the meeting where ENRG HTX came back to life. Erick, Lesa, and I had been working toward the relaunch for months, The Ion gave us a home with a generous assist from Rice Alliance, and two dozen Houston entrepreneurs signed up for a first meeting of something that did not fully exist yet. That takes a certain kind of optimism, and it turned out to be well placed.
Sam Diaz walked the group through Delegate and Elevate, and the exercise did what it always does: made a room full of capable people quietly uncomfortable about their calendars, in the most productive way possible.
Then the IDS session, and the room got real. Members put genuinely meaty issues on the table, the group dug for root causes, and big breakthroughs and real action items came out of the conversation. We closed with a promise to check in on those Solves the following month, because in this community, saying it out loud means owning it. One member wrote afterward that being in a room of like-minded leaders working issues together was exactly what they had been missing. That note is why we relaunched this thing.
