Accountability Chart Recap
The Tool We Covered
Every growing company has a moment where the org chart says one thing and reality says another. Titles multiply, responsibilities blur, and when something falls through the cracks, three people explain why it was not theirs to catch. The Accountability Chart™ is the EOS® answer: not who reports to whom, but who owns what, one name per seat, no hiding. In May, Mark Henderson Leary took our room through it.
How It Went
The May meeting proved something I keep relearning: the conversations over coffee before most people’s workdays have even started tend to be the ones that stick. The room filled early and the talk started before the agenda did.
Mark Henderson Leary, an Expert EOS Implementer™ and one of the most respected voices in this community, gave us a generous gift of his time walking through the Accountability Chart, and it landed. There is something disarming about watching a room of founders quietly realize that the boxes on their org chart and the actual ownership in their company are two different documents. That realization is where the tool starts working.
