The Tool We Covered

Revenue is the number founders brag about. Cash is the number that decides whether payroll clears. Plenty of profitable-on-paper companies have died waiting for money to actually arrive, and most leadership teams cannot name the specific levers that control when it does. The 8 Cash Flow Drivers put names on those levers, and in June, Certified EOS Implementer Rusty Smith walked our room through them one at a time.

How It Went

June was a numbers morning, which in my experience is when a room of entrepreneurs either goes quiet or gets honest. This one got honest. Rusty Smith took us through the 8 Cash Flow Drivers with the calm of someone who has sat across from a lot of leadership teams staring at the same working-capital squeeze, and you could watch people mentally re-running their own receivables while he talked.

We followed the teaching with an open IDS session, and the advice we gave beforehand held up: come with something on your mind. The members who did got the room’s full attention on their issue, and the ones who came to observe left already drafting what they would bring next month.
